Good value for credit building

I was looking for a way to boost my credit without spending a fortune. I saw CreditStrong mentioned and checked them out. The Instal program seemed like a good deal. I managed to get a waived administrative fee when I signed up, which saved me a little upfront. It feels worth the monthly payments so far for the credit reporting and the savings account aspect. Definitely a practical choice for someone on a budget trying to build credit.

Reliable for credit improvement

I've used CreditStrong a few times now, this latest one for the CreditStrong 1000. It's consistently been a straightforward process. The reporting to the credit bureaus seems pretty fast, similar to my previous accounts with them. I keep coming back because it's reliable and I can see the positive impact on my FICO score each month. It's good to have a service I can count on for this.

Effective but slow reporting

I signed up for the CreditStrong 5000 plan a few months ago to help with my credit score. The application process was mostly smooth, no real issues there. The monthly payments are affordable and it's definitely building up some savings. My credit score has seen some improvement, which is the main goal. However, it took a little longer than I expected for the initial reporting to all three credit bureaus. It eventually showed up, but I was checking daily for a bit. Customer service was polite when I asked about it, but didn't really speed up the process. Good product, just wish reporting was a bit quicker.

Smooth process, helpful support

I decided to go with the CreditStrong CS Max after reading up on different options. The online application was fairly easy to navigate, and I got approved pretty quickly. Monthly payments are automatically debited, which is convenient. I had a question about my first FICO score update, so I used their online chat support. They responded in about 10 minutes and were quite helpful explaining how the scores are reported. The credit monitoring service is a nice bonus too, lets me keep an eye on things. Overall, the experience from signing up to managing the account has been clear and effective for building my credit.

Does CreditStrong ever have any sign-up bonuses or like, referral codes? Trying to save a few bucks if I can.

Z Zach Parker 3 days ago
They totally do! I got a referral bonus when I signed up because a friend sent me a link. Keep an eye out for those or ask around, sometimes people post them.

Yeah, they usually have referral stuff. And sometimes they do special campaigns, like around tax season or New Year's, where you might get a waived admin fee or something. Check their site banners.

Is CreditStrong better than Self or is it pretty much the same deal? Trying to decide between them.

M Matt W. 1 week ago
I used Self before and switched to CreditStrong. For me, CreditStrong felt a bit more straightforward with their options, especially if you're looking at the Revolv line of credit. But honestly, both do the job of building credit.

They're similar in concept but CreditStrong is a division of a bank, which some people prefer. Depends on what features you value more. I think CreditStrong has more variety in their products.

I'm in San Antonio, how long does it usually take for them to get things set up and start reporting? Want to know if it's gonna be a super long wait.

A Anthony Scott 4 weeks ago
Once you're approved, it's pretty quick. Like, your account goes active immediately, and they usually start reporting within 30-60 days. You won't see it on your report the next day but it's not ages.

Mine was about a month after my first payment. It's not instant but it's not bad either.

Hey, thinking about signing up for CreditStrong. Does anyone know if they actually report to all three credit bureaus or just like one or two?

D Donna Mitchell 1 month ago
Yeah, they report to all three. Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. I saw my scores tick up on all of them after a few months.

They do. It's pretty standard for these types of services. I've been with them for about a year and it shows up on all my reports.
